Electricians are a people who specialize in wiring structures and buildings. They test, fix, install and maintain electrical systems for the purpose of security, weather control and even communication. They could be employed to install and maintain existing electrical set-up. First, they place pipes on the walls of the buildings they are working on. The next step involves fixing small boxes which could be metallic or plastic to host electrical outlets and switches. Many of them install telephone systems, street lighting, computer wiring, and fire alarm and security systems. They connect motors to electrical power and install electronic controls for industrial equipment.

Most musical concerts and stage plays require their services . He does the stage lighting and controls the art and maneuvering of lighting, what duration to illuminate an entertainer, when to switch on and off the lighting among other stage lighting effects.

For a person to qualify to be a specialist in this field he or she has to undergo intensive training in a middle class college, a polytechnic or a university. They use the following tools; phase tester, pliers, pipe bender, gimlet, screw driver, spirit level, plumb bob, drill, hack saw, test bulb, tape measure, knife, climbing tool, stripping knife, soldering gun, side cutter, long nose pliers and hammer.
