By Lelia Hall

Being sentenced to serve time in prison is one of the hardest experiences individuals have had to experience in their entire lifetime. Some are given a short period to serve in jail while others even end up spending the rest of their lives in these facilities. There are many Americans who have been made to serve in Mexican prisons and their stories have not been anything close to a fairytale. Below is information concerning novels about Americans in Mexican prisons.

One of the most famous books is by a marine soldier who was taken to a Mexican prison after being found in the possession of a gun but however this was just a wrongful arrest. The disadvantage of this is that they did not even take time to look into the facts as to whether he was innocent or not, he was kept chained beside his bed for a period of almost five months which as he described were the darkest moments of his entire life.

In other publications, the American inmates have described their stay in those prisons as horrific, a situation which they cannot fully describe. They state that food services are very rare especially if one is considered to be from the state in question. The other inmates also gang up and physically beat them up until they can hardly move and no external help can be administered in this case too.

Writings by different writers all prove the facts that the issue of rape is very prevalent especially for the minority in this sector. In worst cases, some are even sexually abused by a group of individuals at the same time. This builds a lot of psychological disturbances for the affected person and getting out of here alive especially for an American civilian becomes just but a dream to them as execution is carried out in most of these cases.

For some, the conditions here are so much for them that they view escape as the only way out of this. Taking into account the high electrified walls and the tight security that mans the area, one would be crazy to think of something such as this. However, there are those few who hatch very high profiled plans and with this they manage to get out of here though they will not live again were thy caught in the action.

Some author wrote and said that many Americans have had the worst times of their lives serving here and most of them are soldiers. They are taken to rooms without any windows, basic supplements such as beds, blankets among others become a great luxury and no one seems to really care.

Through research from different experiences from various ex-inmates, testimonies have been made that the high rate of crime in these prisons is due to the prisoners being in a position to own weapons and money which they use to terrorize other inmates and pay off the soldiers in a bid to cover their tracks for the crimes they commit.

in conclusion, the American government should work night and day in a bid to ensure that hose held captive in foreign land s are rescued and taken back home before they lose more individuals in the hands of these brutal group of person.
