Ways On How To Hold A Violin Properly

Do you know how to hold your musical instrument properly? It is crucial to know how to properly hold it so as to reduce pressure and tension and also play it comfortably and naturally. To know how to hold a violin properly, you need to focus on three major areas of your body. These are hands, the jaw and chin and the collarbone and shoulder.

Firstly, rest the violin with its back partly on your left shoulder and your collarbone. Then hold it horizontally and position it at an angle to the left or straight in a forward manner. The device is then to get supported by the collarbone gently and also by the left hand. Let the strings and the floor be almost parallel. Depending on your preferences, use a shoulder pad that fills in the space between your shoulder and also the back of the playing gadget. The shoulder pad also gives friction so that the instrument does not fall off your shoulder or pivot easily.

When the gadget is safely on your shoulder bone, the head is lowered gently and left part of the jaw allowed to rest atop the chin rest of this equipment. Grip the bow of your violin well by slightly turning its wood to the fingerboard. Rest the bow on the string in the music device between the bridge and fingerboard. Then draw the bow and let the bow and bridge remain in parallel position.

While standing, ensure that your feet are completely apart and the left foot is well aligned with your violin. Besides, the right foot should be behind the left slightly and turned out slightly to your right foot. If seated, ensure that the feet are flat and also in front. Also, right food should also be back slightly than your left. The seat you sit on should have a firm base and sit up straight.
