Equipment You Need For A Free Smooth Jazz Radio Streaming

By Linda Ruiz

Instead of posting videos of you and your talent in video streaming sites, starting your personal Internet radio station might be a good idea. Anybody with the right skills can actually operate their own station and promote free smooth jazz radio streaming. Not only the skills, as long as you have the following equipment, you can definitely do it.

Microphone and headphone. The said equipment are very important to an Internet broadcast. If you can, you should choose a headset so that you can talk for the broadcast while keeping both your hands free. If you make the right choice, you can even walk around even while you are talking into the said microphone.

A mixer is helpful in this work too since this is what allows you to connect to multiple microphones and the telephone interface of your broadcasting system. All the audio inputs travel right into the mixer and then come out as a single combined signal. For your mixer, it is highly preferable for it to accommodate USB and other HD digital cables.

Headphone amplifiers. There are times when you need to broadcast with multiple host manning the fort. There are also times when you need to broadcast with multiple guests. If you cannot provide them with one microphone each, it will definitely result to chaos. If you have the headphone amplifiers, this problem will be easily solved.

There should also be a server computer used for the said broadcasting. If you are still on a tight budget, then the regular personal computer should do but that is not ideal. You should still have your own dedicated server that will allow you to provide your listeners with an acceptable broadcasting quality. The server is a very important one to have.

Internet connection is definitely important for you. A regular Internet connection will definitely not suffice whenever you wish to start up your station. If you wish to provide the listeners a good experience and good audio quality while listening to your broadcast, then you should at least have an Internet connection with a 56 Kbps stream.

You need a computer connection as well. This is necessary when your mixer does not actually a computer-compatible interface. In this case, you will need an interface like a USB which will permit you to have a connection between two devices to pump audio from this mixer and straight into the computer you are using.

Telephone interface. This is necessary if you have plans to take calls from your audience. You can easily use this telephone interface to have a talk with a single caller. If not a single caller, you can also opt to have multiple callers put on hold. Whatever you choose, you better make sure you have the correct system to accommodate it.

Have an app for the said Internet broadcast. You should be able to use website services that allow you to send your audio input to the service's web services. Live broadcasting can also be hooked up with other services that allows listeners to listen to you on an around-the-clock basis. There should be apps available for you that will allow all of these things.
