Health Benefits of Decreasing Smoking



Lung cancer, heart disorders, kidney dysfunction and other diseases are a result of excessive smoking. Without realizing, people smoke too much and are damaging various organs. According to an estimate, if a person smokes 20 cigarettes daily, then he would get his lungs completely destroyed within 15 years. It is dangerous to anyone, but youngsters are more attracted to it. It is more dangerous for them as compared with the middle aged or old people, as the side effects of smoking appear after some time. Therefore, youngsters should be discouraged to such activities.

The need of stoppage of smoking among youngsters is more than the elderly because when one starts smoking in the younger age, they develop disorders that are not easy to be cured and the probability of passing through the situation becomes zilch. Besides, the social evils prevail due to this reason. Therefore, smoking should be discouraged equally among the youngsters and elderly people.

Awareness should be generated in order to make people realize that precaution is better than cure, so, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal diseases and heart diseases that can be avoided if one stops smoking. Thus, instead of using the general tobacco cigarette, one should use other healthier alternatives, which is, the nicotine patches or the electronic cigarettes.
