What Is In Store For Illinois Elections 2014

By Mattie MacDonald

America has very many states. Among the many is the state of Illinois. The special thing about this one in particular is that once again the members will be going to cast their votes later in the year, to be precise on the fourth of November. Among other seats for Illinois elections 2014, people have their eye on the senate seat as who is going to take it up for the coming term.

Prior to the main voting, there is that one hat is done before. Since those who feel that leadership is in them and that they can win are many, a strategy was developed to reduce this number of people. Each political party is supposed to hold ballot votes where the members decide on the person that will be representing them in the final stage which consequently makes tallying easier.

During the previous year, while voting in the primary section, it was done separately for the governor and his lieutenant. The winners were then put together as running mates in a final polls. Through research and also based on the will of the people, this was seen to be rather dictatorial since the two candidates may not be compatible. The law was changed and now when the governor is chosen in the primary stage, he is allowed to choose the person he sees best fit to be his partner.

The appointment of these officers to their various positions will not be different from that of any other previous one. Also, they appear to be similar to those of other countries in terms of their political atmosphere. Different political parties will be represented and during the campaigns, some members of state will stand to defend their seat, others will request to be appointed to other posts while some will just be fresh contestants.

Just like any other completion, this one is not a smooth ride. It involves a lot of name calling, the secrets of individuals are exposed, and all their dirty laundry is brought to the public. Some may find this heat too much and they may end losing hope and giving up. This cannot be healthy as it has previously been witnessed in this state.

In the government of the United States, among all the member states, each one of them is supposed to choose a representative to the house and that is the senator. During the oncoming election, voters are supposed to decide on who that person will be for them. However, this seat have over the years been occupied by the same candidate who according to the words on the street is probably going to win again.

It is not a requirement that the voters be registered to any political party before such an individual; is allowed to vote. However, during the main nominations, those who are casting their votes are required to stand openly while voting and declare which political alliance he supports. The last day that a citizen is allowed to register to be able to cast a vote is seventh October.

Among the many things that the 2014 elections in Illinois have in store, is the hope for transparency that citizen have. No irregularities of any kind will be condoned as heavy punishments are promised to those who try to disrupt voting process. As seen in the previous years, they ought to be free and fair to the satisfaction of both the voters and those who are being voted for.
