Viewing Old Mystery TV Shows Can Be Entertaining

By Karina Frost

"Simon and Simon, " "Murder She Wrote, " "Remington Steele, " "The Hardy Boys, " "Nancy Drew, " "McMillan & Wife, " "Columbo" and "Mrs. Columbo" are great programs to view. They are also old mystery tv shows that American people love to watch. These series were first introduced during the 1970's and early 80's and they appeal to a large population.

The series "Simon and Simon" deals with two brothers who are both detectives. The younger sibling is blond and very good looking while his older brother is ugly and going bald. Each week they try to put their talents together in order to solve mysteries and crimes which go on in a small town. Their mother is always there to lend her moral support to both of them.

Agatha Christie is responsible for the creation of an older woman who appears on "Murder She Wrote." This is the American version of Ms. Marple who British people have loved and admired for years. The old lady on this series is very wise and no murderer can escape her clutches.

"Remington Steele" had deep blue eyes which people loved to stare into. He was always so suave and sophisticated throughout the entire series even though his title was unreal. The woman who ran this detective agency had merely created Remington when her business was not doing so great financially. Customers eventually came to her agency because of the elegant Mr. Steele. The series had a good run on television and is now seen in syndication.

Everyone around knows that "The Hardy Boys" brought any party to life since they were so musically talented. Joe Hardy would sing while his brother Frank took the time to romance all of the hot young girls that were around. After this was over the two of them would try to solve various mysteries that went on around their hometown. Love and romance was always in the air whenever these two dashing young men appeared.

Females everywhere loved "Nancy Drew" and her series came along the same time as "The Hardy Boys." Nancy and her best friend would find themselves in all types of trouble each and every week but they would always survive the immediate dangers. Nancy even dated one of the Hardy guys and sometimes the trio would solve cases together.

A very short man named "Columbo" took his job quite seriously and he enjoyed locking criminals in a jail cell. He was the greatest crime solver that was ever created for television viewers and everybody loved him. Peter Falk had an unusual way of playing this character and no one else matched his style. Criminals all around tried to avoid Mr. Columbo since he could solve any crime within an hour.

"Mrs. Columbo" tried her best to do a good job at solving crimes when her series was introduced to the world. Unfortunately few people have not heard about this particular program since it was not around for very long. The actress playing the lead was a bit young and unknown to many television audiences.
