The Story Of Sergeant Hack

Born and raised in a particular town in Kentucky, Sergeant Hack transferred in a town called Louisville. At the age of seventeen years old, he was able to join and serve the Coast guard of the US for four years. He also enrolled himself in the Army and wanted to go for Ranger Training. He undergone through several recruiters for preparation until he reached the town of Fort Benning, GA where he was placed in the Ranger Department. He was also placed on course for preparation in Ranger School in 1965. He went to Englin Air Force Base in Florida and acted as Harbor Craft Boatswain.

He was able to support twenty Ranger School training cycles for 21 days and a month for two years and still believing that his own start date would come. However, his desire to attend his dream took second place because of the needs of the Army. Sergeant Hack loyally served the Army by preparing young soldiers and officers for combat in Vietnam.

In his 24 months of support in Ranger training, he was not able to complete it and never wore a Ranger Tab. He was disappointed that he never got his most desired class date and never got the opportunity to earn his Tab. Still, he realized the essence of his training responsibilities and became proud of his two years duty with the brigade.

He was assigned as the sergeant of Big Red One when he entered the First Infantry Division in Lai Khe, Vietnam. He also received an award called Purple Heart due to the combat wounds he obtained in 1968 that finally ended his journey in the military. He obtained a lot of injuries for two different events.

He stayed the whole year in a certain hospital in United States that is designated for the Army and was put on hold for medical reasons for another three years. Upon his recovery, he was designated as the recruiter for the towns Akron, Cuyahoga Falls also in Tallmadge, Ohio. He got a recognition nationwide as the top recruiter.

His distinctive recruiting tools will include a shirt, a custom jeep and a custom painted Corvette. This made him the number one recruiter from the years 1969 to 1973. The jeep that he used is still on display at a museum in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

After retiring for several years, he served and went in Hudson and served in its Police Department. He was assigned in the Sheriff Department in a particular Summit Region. His police career came to an end when he went to Sebring, Ohio where he was placed as Chief of Police.

In the year 1985, he founded the US Wings together with his wife. This is a family operated company that is located in Boston Heights, Ohio. They supply bomber jackets and aviation gears to different branches of the armed forces.

Sergeant Hack became a Life Member of the 101st Airborne Division, the first Infantry Division, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. In the year 2011, he was then formally presented with some awards such as Purple Heart, the Vietnam Service Medal and Army Recruiter Badge. He also received honors at a certain ceremony that was held by the congressman of Ohio named Steven La Tourette.
