If possible we can always get a sneak peak of things to come in the Sci-Fi writing world, and our anticipation for something mind blowing is always quenched.
For the lovers of Max Brooks, this avid Sci-Fi writer already has another book out which is already adapted for the big screen; World War Z. World War Z unfolds the story of the great Zombie War which threatened to wipe out human civilization. Max Brooks once more takes you through a gruesome battle between man and zombie nondescripts in the great apocalyptic years in a cleverly delivered writing you definitely would enjoy.
Laura Oliver is another great read who welcomes you to adventure in the wild in her book, Requiem. This books fictions on a rebellious group that is now the center of self realization for the character Lena. She now finds meaning and purpose in this rebellion and after saving Julian from death, she together with her friends flee to the wild and continue to fight the force of the Government.
Richard Dansky is also a great writer who gives science fiction a different twist. In his book Vapoware, we are introduced to a normal world of video gaming until a different game is invented and sold out. This new game has no Game Over and once you stop, the Blue Lightning comes to life; and comes for you.
Fiction can never be complete if you do not get some great ink work from Jonathan Maberry and his great fiction character John Ledge. The latest from Maberry is the Extinction Machine, which throws the character John Ledger to an Alien infested world, typical like what we saw in The Terminator: Judgment Day. The plot starts with a climax and we learn that the US president is scooped out of the white house in the eyes of the secret service and maybe those conspiracy theorists were not wrong after all.
In a different world, Steven Gould brings us to a new high fiction book called the Impulse. Steven after years of silence revives the two couples, Davy & Millie, who posses teleporting powers unknown to the world and live with their now teenage daughter Cent. But their Mr. And Mrs. Smith is cut short when they discover their daughter also posses secret powers like them.
The last book that is a definite must read is the Star Wars Scoundrel by Timothy Zahn. If you have read some of the books Zahn has written, you would agree he is more Star Wars authentic than other version. So in this new book he develops the existing characters and decides to bring in new characters from his previous books into this one; definitely awesome to read.
