Grow Jamaica movie is a famous documentary which look into persuading the government to legalize growing and use of marijuana. It is commonly known to the locals as ganja. Marijuana is an illegal drug not only in that country but most of the countries in the world. The drug has a strong smell since it is made from dried leaves of hemp, which is a cannabis plant.

Grow Jamaica movie is a famous documentary which tries to ask the government to legalize use of drugs. The drug in question is marijuana. This drug comes from dried leaves of hemp tree, a type of cannabis plant. It is strong smelling and commonly referred to by locals as ganja. The drug was banned due to the effects it would bring to the people of the country.

The film is authored by Dr. L. James Campbell who is the author of the book Grow Jamaica. This is the book which was basically used to produce the movie as its contents reflect the same message. Campbell is a mufti talented person since he is a designer, artist and also a teacher. He is also famous as he has done research on natural herbs.

Featured in the grow Jamaica movie and film is variety of people from all occupations. Politicians, legal professionals, economists and many others give their views about the issue. Each of them views the issue from a different perspective. Their views are different since they represent different sectors or institutions in the country. This brings about a debate whether marijuana should be legalized or not. Obviously in this case some are for it and others are not.

Featured in the film are professionals in different fields and also professionals. Economists, attorneys, and businessmen among others have been asked about the issue and as usual they have given different views since they tackle the issue from their fields point of view. There are those for it and those against it. Politicians would always side with the government but some are frank to say hemp growing should be encouraged and used in the country.

Unemployed youth believe that if it was legalized, they could improve the economy. Dr. Campbell in his views also believes encouraging growing of the plant would help them economically since marijuana can be used to make many products which people do not know.

Not only Campbell believes so. The nation believes with growing ganja extensively, they can compete in world economies. It would create a living for them. For them using marijuana also is good to the bodies as it makes one healthy and improves the brain activity.

Grow Jamaica movie has not brought any impact yet since the drug is still not legalized. The heated debate continues also between the government and the people do not seem to get to understand one another. The case is a sensitive one and people may never seem to settle to its illegality.Depending on the way they are used, they can be beneficial or harmful to the society.
