Individuals Who Don The Head Turban

A head turban is normally made by rolling a long piece of cloth around an individual's head. Different groups of individuals wear this piece of cloth for various reasons. This includes for religious and cultural reasons. These coverings can be bought as long pieces of cloth, which are then manually wrapped around an individual's head. They can also be custom made so that all an individual needs to do is to slip them on when the need arises.

The Kurds wear these coverings. The piece of cloth is normally worn around a cone shaped hat. The turbans normally have some tassels which are allowed to hang down from the coverings. The Kurds wear either red or white coverings.

The coverings forms part of the national dress of the people in Afghanistan. The coverings are normally worn in a variety of styles and colors. The patterns, lengths and fabric used to make the coverings vary depending on the ethnic group wearing it. In some parts of the country, the covering is wrapped loosely and is large in size. While in other parts of the country the coverings are tied more tightly and are smaller.

The coverings are highly regarded in India. They are normally presented to guests as a sign of respect from the host. The coverings are available in different colors. The type of occasion you will be attending will determine the color of the covering you opt for. Generally, pink coverings are worn when attending marriage ceremonies or during spring. White ones are worn by elders to symbolize peace.

Some individuals in western countries normally don the coverings. It is women who tend to wear them. Since they are not very common, you can easily stand out when you wear them. They can be worn as fashion accessories or by individuals who have medical conditions or are are experiencing hair loss.

Men in the Islamic religion tend to wear these coverings. Most of them wear it due to what it represents. It is thought that the founding father of the religion wore a black or white covering, so most of his followers picked up on this trend. The women wear what can be considered an equivalent of these coverings. The women covering is known as the hijab and is worn in a different style to that worn by men.

In the Sikh religion, it is a must for all the men to wear the covering. This is what is used to identify them. The major function of the covering is to protect the hair of an individual. This is given the fact that Sikh men never cut their hair and beards from birth. The covering helps them to easily manage their hair and keep it clean.

A small section of Rastafarian's and Christians wear the coverings. Rastafarian's wear the head turban to cover up their dreadlocks and keep them clean. Most Christians do not wear the coverings as they do not find it necessary to do so. Those who wear them normally don small, round shaped, white coverings.
