Today, murder mysteries are among of the best and popular genres that most people read. It features exciting cliffhangers with a certain storyline that will leave you glue to the page.

To get started, read some stories in the genre you want to write in. The wider variety, the more brilliant ideas you will brainstorm for your own tale. By reading new murder mystery books, you will be able to gather details and ideas. If necessary, do some research about the place or time that you plan to set your story.

If you are serious about writing and get the permission, it may be an ideal thing to shadow a detective team or ask them how investigations work. Next is to get a notebook intended for your novel or story. You must list down who are your detectives, the reasons why they murdered, who will be murdered, what will they be murdered with, any witness of the killing and the suspects.

They can actually give you some advice and suggestions for some improvements to make your novel better.

Adults are good of identifying mistakes such as punctuation and spelling especially in the writing of kids. You cannot take their words and need to be harsh on your work. If you want it to be published so that more readers can read it, you can send it to any publisher in your area.

You have to remember to be comfortable with every character you create. Always keep your story realistic and know your target audience. Teenagers will want something different what adults like. Before writing, it is vital to do some research on the aspects of the whole mystery stories.
