By James Darien

When it comes down to entertainment few cities can match Vegas for variety. Theaters in Las Vegas are many and grand, designed to ensure impressive performances. People flock to Las Vegas theaters to be transported by art. With so many exceptional locales it's no surprise that entertainment is a big industry and so the city invests heavily so as to continue to draw in audiences.

Theater for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood

In Vegas the Strip is a real attraction in itself and it is host to a numerous number of theater venues. One of the greatest is located at the Planet Hollywood casino and hotel. This versatile concert hall can seat anywhere between 2500 and 5000 audience members, depending upon the event. Broadway musicals, awards ceremonies, acting troupes and concerts are regularly presented. The theater also demonstrates a bar and patrons are welcome to enjoy a drink during all performances.

The Pearl

Found within the Palms Casino Resort The Pearl is a space designed for superior acoustics. The theater is one of the more recent concert halls in Las Vegas and subsequently it takes full advantage of the newest improvements in sound engineering. Seeing a big concert here's a must.

Le Reve Theater

Visitors to The Wynn are conversant with the resort's paramount opulence. The Le Reve Theater is no exception to this rule. Host to one of the most impressive shows on the Las Vegas Strip, the Le Reve Theater features a beautiful combined stage and pool where more than 70 performers enact a jaw dropping show almost every night. This theater in the round demonstrates an gigantic domed shape that is different from everything else seen in the city. Each seat is a great seat in a theater where no audience member is placed at over 42 feet from the stage.

The Smith Center

Not found on the Strip, but an one off attraction nonetheless, the Smith Center is home to touring Broadway productions, the ballet, the symphony and countless theater groups. The centerpiece is Reynolds Hall. It features 2050 seats and clear sightlines from virtually any seat. An orchestra pit large enough to accommodate 100 musicians makes this the ideal place to look at any performance that's accompanied by onstage music.

Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall

Concert halls in Las Vegas don't come any better than this. Located on the UNLV campus the improved acoustics of this purpose-built facility offer the best opportunity for hearing onstage music in the town. Classical music is the commonest offering, but like other theaters in Las Vegas the productions here are varied and entertaining.

The Joint

Las Vegas theaters are nothing if not flexible and this location at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is frequently home to today's biggest rock music acts while also catering to the sounds of rock 'n roll history. This is one theater that's built to rock and audience members are always guaranteed a wild time.
