A Personalized Minky Blanket For Your Baby

Staying nine months in the womb of the mother, people around the newlyweds tend to become busy. Excitement and commotion will be then visible to every friends, relatives and families eyes. Shopping things and stuffs the baby needs is the first priority of the people. Buying stuffed toys and the important things the baby will use including the clothes the baby will wear. The fragility of their tiny bones and soft skin are the parts everyone should protect.

Everything the baby needs should be suitable for them and not harmful for their health and growth. A right choice of materials and fabric is important to keep the baby warmth . A special type of blanket called as minky blanket, is known to be a type of plush fabric blanket. This kind of blanket is like fleece. Softer and thicker to provide a comfy feeling for the baby.

Buying stuffs specifically blankets for the cute little angels does not be expensive. You can use your own creativity in making your own blanket using the minky fiber. The following are the few simple steps that you can do to achieve a homemade comforter.

In making, you need to provide these few materials that you will be using. A printed cotton, minky fiber, a thread to connect and a sewing stuffs. To start, clean the cloth first by washing it. If it is already dry make it sure to iron in after.

The size and dimension of the lining will be your decision. Cut the two cloths to your desired length and width. It is advisable to tear the cloth rather than using a scissor. It can make it straighter. Holding the end sides will make it more easier for you to tear them. Allocate some portions for changes and use measuring tape in monitoring the size.

After cutting them both, lay them together now by putting the printed part down and the soft part up. You need to put them at the right position to make the expected result. Before removing the unneeded part, make sure to put some pins to avoid adjustments.

After, bind the together using the thread you have prepared and pull off the pins that you pinned. Use the back stitch. Leave a whole or a space between the cloth, measure about two to three inches.

Once it is already sewn, flip the comforter through the opening that you made. Make all four corners out. Make the edges smooth and stitch around other edges that are still open. Be sure to close everything. If you need to press the whole comforter together, you can use a warm iron.

After following the steps perfectly and you are now all set. As easy as that, you will be able to finish approximately a comfy minky linen for your little one within an hour. You need not to be extravagant in buying and providing the needs of the baby. You are capable of doing and finding a lot of alternatives to do. Just be creative and be a wise money spender.
