Steps To Be Followed In The Accelerated Learning Process

By Sharon Anderson

Knowledge is power, and people have searched far and wide to gain information that makes them live better lives. It is a common belief that man can get a job when he is equipped with the right knowledge. There are a myriad of methods used to gain information apart from the conventional schooling method. Such methods have gained popularity and are used in most housleholds. This article expounds on the steps to be followed in the accelerated learning process.

People strive to gain knowledge for various reasons. Whatever these reasons may be, they have at least applied some of the approaches discussed in this article. The cardinal approach in this study process is the transfer of knowledge gained from the student to a third party. However, a student needs to have read and understood the concepts before attempting to teach someone else. Contrary to this, leads to wastage of time as nothing is gained. Transfer of knowledge acts as a measuring rod that determines whether a student has fully understood the concept discussed.

Additionally, students with a curious mind are in a better position to understand and explain reading material learnt as compared to average minds. Curious minds do not rest until knowledge sought is obtained and read. Arising questions are asked to relevant persons and answers received. This ultimately leads to better acquisition of wisdom as nothing is left to chance.

Furthermore, an interested scholar should be in a position formulate questions regarding their interest in this particular subject. A common example of a question is what benefits will I gain from this data? Obtaining an answer serve as a motivation that keeps a novice more interested in the pursuit of material.

Knowledge gained should be formulated into simpler content to promote easier understanding. In this case, the learner is tasked with paraphrasing the content into an excerpt which can be understood by any literate man. Pictures can be drawn to back up information gained from diagrams. By paraphrasing, a learner has made it much easier for him or her to digest and recall this information whenever it is required.

During the course of reading information, students are advised to vocalize words over and over again. This helps in memory retention as certain words act as memory triggers to main sentences. Research has proven that students that vocalize have a higher probability of remembering content as compared to those who read silently. However, this should be done privately as it can bother people nearby. By visualizing final expectations, scholars can interpret reading material from different perspectives that stimulate further understanding.

In addition, the adoption of other senses is a major step that can determine the time needed to gain information. Senses such as hearing, taste and smell have similar effects as they contribute to recalling of information. By tasting certain foods at the time of studying, a pupil can associate this particular information with this food, and be able to remember the concept when needed.

The performance of actions is an essential approach that cements its status in the list. This is because actions are much easier to do and remember. Actions are mostly used in conjunction with enlightenment that dictates the use the actions. For instance, fitness exercises are much better understood when they are performed as opposed to just reading them on text. For a scholar to successfully achieve knowledge from this study process, they need to follow each approach strictly and to the letter for their own benefit.
