How To Choose Your Resort Photographer

By Joseph Hill

After you complete constructing or remodeling you resort, you are supposed to post or change the pictures in your hotel website. The appropriate way to do this is by hiring a professional photographer to perform the shooting. You should be careful to select the best resort photographer for best quality images.

In order to achieve the quality of photos you want, you have to create a list of images you must have and decide on how many shots are for interior and exterior. You should also concentrate on the strength of the photographer since some specialize in different area. This will make sure you get the one specialized in your area.

The other step you should take is enquiring for ideas on the best professional who have experience in this task from other business who have gone through this task. There are also websites which provides information on photographers with details and sample pictures they have taken. From here, you can be able to assess their capability to deliver the quality needed from their portfolios. Select 3 or 4 photographers and invite them for interviews and during the interviews ask the following questions.

Knowing the date you want the task to kick off, ask the personnel if the services can be offered on your planned date. This ensures you to get the shooting on your planned date with no delay. This will also help manage your move to the hotel marketing.

Ask whether the person will be the one taking the shots or they be handled by the employees. It is a good idea to get a professional who is willing to do the job and not bring in another person to do it. Make it known to the professional you do not like having your work done by another person you do not know.

Negotiate about the price charge after the photographer understands the quality and number of images you want. You also need to be enlightened on whether the charges are priced per photo, per day and any other charges included in the amount. It is good to know if you will be the one providing for lodgings, food, and transport and editing charges. The copyright of the pictures should be discussed to understand to which level you own the photographs.

Get the crew number from the professional and make sure they are not many since the more the number the more they charge. The number of days to perform the task is another thing to consider. Make sure you ask the number of shots they can make in a day. High quality photos should be between 6 and 10 max but if this goes beyond ten, then, the quality is questionable. The duration to take a single shot should be not less than 45minutes and should not exceed one hour.

Communicate on the decision on whether to use your staff as models or the person taking shots should come with personnel for the stand. Most of them prefer arriving to the resort a day or two prior the shooting day. This is to make proper arrangements on the light and to determine where to stand when taking shots. They should come clear on the date to receive the images and the channel to use as well as the size of pictures. If satisfied, estimate the process and hire the one best fits your needs.
