How To Prepare For A Tea Party

By Juana Gamble

You've been thinking of doing some sort of activity that will help you catch up with your friends it has been a long time since all of you are gatecrashed in a single place together. You have all been very busy. But this time. You are determined to actually be able to get all of you together. After pondering your choices you have decided that a Tea Party would be a fine idea. There are some things you should do to prepare.

Decide on the time that you will be holding the event too. Most of the time, people would choose to have it hold in the afternoon. Any time of the day is actually fine. There are even those that would choose to hold them in the evening, after dinner. But still, go for a time that would be most convenient for you and for your guests. So they won't have a tough time making it.

Send invites to your guests as well. It is important that you're able to determine the specific people that you would want to invite for the event. You can always have the choice of giving them a written notice. Include the date and time on the invites. Calling your guests and letting them know about your plans can help too. Make sure you give them the details too.

You are going to need to find the appropriate supplies for this purpose. Find out about the stuff that you need for the party to make sure that you are set and ready on the day that you have set. Make sure that you'll have your set ready too. Ensure that you will have the right tea for this purpose too.

Serve the right food. You need to pair up your beverage with the right kinds of food. In this case, you are going to need to have a blend of both savory, as well as sweet stuff served to your guests. You need to serve something that is light as in the case of cucumber sandwiches. But you want to have something sweet for the guests too. Scones or cakes would be perfect.

Work on setting the table properly. You will need to have a table covered with a white linen tablecloth. Have the area set in a way where the tea is at the end of the table. This is where you should sit. Make sure that you'll have plenty of room to be able to serve the drinks. Guests can serve the food themselves.

Dress the part too. It is expected for you to be dressed in at least a casual attire when hosting the event. But it is not actually inappropriate of you will decide to be dressier. You'd want to wear a nice cress. Your friends and guests are expected to dress the part as well. Then, ten minutes before the arrival of the guests, have the water in your kettle boiling so you're set.

Once the guests arrive, bring them to your table. Serve the drinks and allow them to enjoy the food that you have prepared. Then, sip your beverage, chat and enjoy each others company, try not to indulge in gossip though as this might hurt somebody as a result.
