Dish Network introduced it's high-speed Internet service, called dishNET, in 2012, and since then it's become a phenomenal success.

dishNET is the actual name for the satellite Internet service supplied by Dish Network.

Explain exactly how Dish Internet works?

When you purchase Dish Internet service you get a satellite dish plus a satellite modem. In order to get on the Internet, your personal computer will send a signal via your modem to your dish, which then transmits it to a satellite. That satellite then transmits the signal to a receiving station on Earth.

When a website is located, the signal the signal is then sent from the receiving station, to the satellite, and straight down to your computer.

Just how fast is dishNET?

With Dish Network you'll get download speeds up to 10 Mbps, and upload speeds as high as 2 Mbps, That's 100 times quicker than dialup service.
