What a Piano Teacher Needs To Be Motivated

By Antonette Moleski

A piano teacher must be a well motivated person, apart from having the knowledge of the job; this is a very key issue that he must work upon always if he wants to remain in line. You should not allow anything to interfere with your job no matter what shake every un helpful feeling and emotions, take a refresher course if necessary. There should be a good music that can get you up, since that is what you do too, do not hesitate to use it. Maybe you think you have listen enough to music and it has not worked for you, then you are yet to contact the right one that you need, do not limit yourself to the music your student is playing alone, you need much more than that, discover what your mind request and go for it.

Learning new things apart from motivation is a reason why you must listen new work of music and masterpieces, you cannot know it all, allow other peoples' works to help you get back on the line as your learn new things. Apart from all what we have said above, we still have some other reasons why a piano teacher can have burnout in there career. Sometimes students' attitude to the lesson can give headache to a piano teacher, particularly when the parents are trying to see that such uninterested student must master the keyboards within a specified period of time. Do not allow the money aspect to box you into a corner which you would regret later, get rid of any student giving you problem, and set the right standard for yourself and adhere to it come rain come shine. Talent is something that may not show at the beginning, so do not judge your students by the initial attitude to the lesson, you may be wrong.

In one-on-one coaching a teacher must take students as he is, and not stick a general rule of teaching so that there can be quick results and that the student can be free to learn. Students can recommend teachers for their friends, and they will base this upon their experience with the teacher, should you be the teacher that does not give them the atmosphere to learn freely you will get bad recommendation. You must ensure that the student bring out the best in the course of the lesson by setting the right rule from the beginning which must be customized around the students preferences as much as possible. It is their class so it must suit their mind but not against the norms.

As you already know, knowledge is not static but dynamic, learn, and keep learning, do not stop because you are a teacher and you have some students you trained that are doing well, you must keep learning to remain on top.

Your attitude will rub off on your students; let it be the best only no less. The result that you get from an atmosphere like this will surprise you and will produce students that are full baked pianist with the knowledge of the rudimentary of piano playing. If your students does not have respect fro you can they will not be able to learn from you as well, your standard will ensure they do.

The level of adherence of the students to the standards is dependent on how well they understood the terms there, carefully explained to them. Whatever you feel people must know, get them printed in a brochure for example or run an advert in papers, electronic media, or on the internet, include the key information there including fees payment and the schedule, and class behaviors. Do not cajole people by telling them what you cannot offer, it will backfire at the end.
