Bristol Lunch and Entertainment

By Audrey C. Howell

The well-known Bristol sign that marks the line between Tennessee and Virginia proclaims Bristol as a good place to live. Many generations going back over 150 years have realized that being true. Bristol is a historical and cultural hub, having played a pivotal role in the early expansion of the American frontier, the Revolutionary War, and the growth of American music.

You could experience that rich history when you visit Bristol's features, stroll the area, thrill with a live musical performance, or explore numerous cultural and historical routes that mark the area. Chances are you'll hear music in Bristol the vast majority of nights. As a matter of fact, Bristol was reported by the U.S. Congress as the genuine Birthplace of Country Music. Keeping to its heritage, historic downtown caters several free concerts April - October and the annual music festival, Bristol Roots Reunion, the third weekend in September.
Live music and entertainment can be found most nights in Bristol.

From relaxed venues to larger festivals and events featuring national entertainers, you are sure to find music and nightlife to suit most tastes. Put on your toe-tappin' shoes and move to historic downtown Bristol, where you can hear live performances and jam sessions year-round at a number of venues.

Over a million visitors annually experience the thrill of speed at Bristol Motor Speedway. Crowds of 200,000 and even more come up for events such as the March and August NASCAR Races. Don't miss the Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway complex. You'll get to take a lap around the track, with its famous high-banked turns, and ride right down to pit road. You'll also cruise through Bristol Dragway, also known as Thunder Valley.

Things are always a buzz around Bristol Motor Speedway, as well as in Bristol as a whole. For this reason we hope you might choose next vacation or weekend getaway here! We have amazing places for lunch and dinner, and entertainment for the whole family!
