Why Led Zepagain Is A Great Tribute Band

By Rebecca Smith

Some of the greatest rock and roll bands have spawned their own imitators. This is partly about the best kind of compliment to the original musicians who created iconic music through some decades. One of the best rock bands in the history of this twentieth century music set the standards for so many others to follow and this has made rock really shine.

A group of young men have loved this band and their music that they formed what is possibly the greatest tribute group for the original musicians. They called themselves Led Zepagain and often remind audiences that these are imitating originals. They could play the songs per note, and do all moves that original members made before.

They have studied their stuff for the classic line up of for musicians of the original. They follow the Page, Plant, Jones and the late Bonham as they guitarist, singer, bassist and the drummer, now retired but appreciative of their efforts. Zepagain do their music and may even pass as the original members when they want.

The group members are all Californians, a state where Zeppelin is still highly regarded for generations of rockers. And today, so many crave the original sound live that Zepagain has many followers who share their dreams of listening and watching a Zep live set. All are one in being appreciative of what are the greatest songs in rock history.

These imitation musicians have accomplished many things with the sounds of earlier generations. They have gotten mention in television, and the originals themselves paid tribute to the troupe in a reunion show. It means the efforts of this new group has brought back what was the most defining music for several rocker generations.

What really distinguishes the imitators is that they could make exactly the same thing as originals did. The wall of sonic amplification, elegiac virtuoso solos, and the banshee wail of Robert Plant are all there. All being set against the backdrop that is a time capsule to those classic moments in rock mae by Zeppelin.

A lot of other musicians have been unable to produce the precise copy of sounds, and Zepagain is unique in knowing what it wants. It has translated to renewed appreciation of Zeppelin, while most other musicians are both imitating and trying to make new sounds. Most will fall by the way, and only the few talented groups could make the same iconic sounds as Zeppelin made.

Zepagain makes no bones that they are excellent imitations, and this has been key to their success. For the men which compose it, it is a continuing journey for the love of rock. They go on their way, and their success is testament to their musicianship as well as the sounds that were made several decades ago.

Watching them live is another one of those really great things to do. Concert goers who have no idea what a Zep set looked and sounded like are turned on by their live sets. And it is an experience that will always be memorable for anyone.
