Waco Flea Markets, Nearby Outlets And Thrift Stores

While in some areas shopping malls are becoming a thing of the past, there are still alternatives. When visiting Texas, these alternatives include Waco flea markets, antique malls and thrift stores. In addition, the area host one of the only National Boy Scout stores and museums in the state.

The three markets include Jen's Bazaar, the Treasure City Flea Market and the LaSalle Shoppes. As with all of these type markets some of are better others. Although, when it comes to these three in Waco, most agree that these are better than others. Shopping can often bring about hunger, when this happens in Waco, , the city has some of the best restaurants offering everything from Burgers to Sushi and beyond.

Historically speaking, flea markets are often only open on weekends. While this is the case, there are some in the area which are open seven days a week. Still, it is often good to call before traveling as some stores can close for deliveries, holidays or vacation. As such, to assure a positive adventure and shopping experience, it is always good to verify hours before embarking upon such a journey.

When it comes to Treasure City, there are often reports that the bathrooms could be cleaner. At the same time, a number of people claim to have found awesome bargains. In addition, it appears the walk through the market is an enjoyable one for most visitors.

While identified as a flea market, the LaSalle Shoppes are more of antique and collectibles market. While this is the case, the establishment has a lot to offer in the way of unique items. As such, being centrally located just off the main freeway, it is often worth a stop as most people find something of interest.

Whatever the reason for visiting one of these markets, people often find something of interest. When looking for a particular antique, collective or vintage item, it can often be good to call ahead to see if the store has the product. As the area is very popular with antique lovers and vintage shoppers, some items can sell out even before arriving at the store.

When in the area, visitors might find a trip to old downtown Waco entertaining. For, along with local cafes, wine bar, retro candy store and shops, there is a retro candy store selling a number of favorites from the early days of candy to present. In addition, the store offers a choose your own soda and ice cream for old time root beer floats and other drinks. Doing so can be an interesting experience as there are a number of obscure sodas along with ice cream flavors such as Jack Daniels and others.

Whereas, art lovers might want to take a gander at the many art galleries, museums on and off the campus of Baylor University. For, while there are a lot of ways to spend time in Waco, visiting the many art galleries, museums, restaurants and theaters can often provide a great deal of entertainment at very little costs. Whether dining, shopping or visiting galleries and museums, there is no doubt individuals will have a great time in Waco.
