Practice Volunteerism And Virtues When Joining 19 Lions

Fraternal organizations are social groups that are often international in scope. There are many of these around the world and they all have relevant social programs that provide good answers to certain segments of populations that need help. They are also great venues for good socials and mores and standards that create high standards of quality living for members as well as the people they help.

Lions Clubs International is one such organization and it is well recognized and respected wherever individuals and chapters are. Multiple Districts 19 Lions is the relevant district for the states and provinces of Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. This is the type of district that covers several states and have more chapters than the average district.

This unit is further organized into smaller regional units for better operability, cohesiveness and integrity for outreach services. The district is accessible online as well as through the various group HQs. Potential members are advised to follow their announcements closely and adhere to the advertised slogans and concerns relevant to the group.

Volunteerism is the primary and beginning requirement to join the brotherhood. It is in this spirit that brothers, individually and as a group, provide answers to issues that have and will challenge communities around the world. And their actions have only one true justification with their motto, We Serve.

Founded in Chicago, Illinois on 7 June, 1917, the club has maintained the fundamental mission enshrined in its motto. Found Lion Melvin Jones had an idea that attracted the imaginations of many. In a short span of years, its populism and progressiveness created so many chapters and more have been added as it move forward in time.

The word LIONS are a set up of democratic values that protect the freedom of individuals and integrity of nations. They are an active call of duty for all members in all countries where the organization is found and where many members live. These values are Liberty, Intelligence and Our Nations Safety.

Men and women in communities who are recognized for having good reputations and are of legal age are usually invited to join. For members, there are rules and guidelines that provide a way to pick out the best potential Lions who can be of great value to service missions. There are flags and banners used by the group to represent all the virtues it stands for. Purple is meant to symbolize integrity and loyalty, gold symbolizes the virtues of liberality, purity, sincerity and generosity. The relevant colors are often used in sashes, uniforms and other official signage used during missions and socials.

Some major objectives for Lions Clubs International is to help people with problems in eyesight and hearing. Other goals are incorporated for specific missions that the group decides to be involved in, usually those relevant to current and fundamental group concerns. Government or local authorities and other service oriented groups often team up with Lions to make program deliveries that much more effective.
