Global Crisis Affecting Many Nations How In Hell Did This Happen

By Agnes Franco

Even small children are beginning to realize the impacts of the global crisis to every citizen. This is how sad the situation is. We might as well just ask ourselves how in hell did this happen if the planet is said to be very resourceful.

According to studies, many families are suffering from inadequate funds. They are unable to support even the basic needs of their households. But despite the situation though, the overall debt of those highly impoverished countries still cannot equate the wealth accumulated by 7 of the most powerful people on earth.

Many people, about a billion, are still illiterate too, not being able to even write their own names. Still, 270 million people have no access for healthcare, 400 million cannot drink potable water, and 640 million are homeless. These problems are worsening by the day too.

These are just among the gravest issues troubling the entire world. There are some international organizations like the United Nations taking care of these. But sad to say, these organizations are also likely to be influenced by the wealthy only. This has always been the situation for the past.

As a result, only a few countries are able to benefit well from the programs. Those even poor countries remain poorer, while their citizens also suffer more. Another conference called the Rio +20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development was held last June 2012.

The Rio +20 conference wants to put an end once and for all to the poverty of some nations, the issues on unemployment, the environmental damages caused by humans, and the unfair distribution of resources. But then again, we can only put our hopes for the best. After all, everyone's participation is necessary to achieve outcomes.

As for us, instead of complaining How in hell did this happen, we might as well just do our part too. We can help the environment by recycling in our own ways. We can teach small children to be literate. We can also share our wealth to those who need it more. These small measures will surely help authorities with their growing problems with the world.
