In order to understand what abstract art really consists of, you will have to go through the meaning of non-objective art, non-representational art and non-figurative art. All these terms are loosely related to one another, but their meanings are not completely identical.

There are no boundaries in Abstract art: Abstract art has no specific objective, representation or figure! You simply draw whatever you're thinking or feeling. Abstract art expresses your inner soul, your feelings and your mindset. The creation of abstract art started during the 19th century when artists started trying to derive a new form of art which was completely independent and which didn't adhere to any limits. These artists did not want to limit themselves by having their art depend on realistic forms.

There are numerous forms of abstract art, making it all the more special. These consist of abstract expressionism, cubism and neo-plasticism. Many widely known artists like Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, and Piet Mondrian have employed these styles with specific beauty. Their art speaks.
