Comfy - Sennheiser Rs120 Wireless Headphones Critique

By Jackson Bailey

This makes it impossible for me to use them in this way. Since I have hearing issues and is why I buy earphones, I really can't use them for one purpose that is very important to me. Range is also excellent. The only thing to note is that the base station does not have optical audio input, only a standard 1/8th jack.

The headphones come with rechargeable batteries, which is a great addition for people who want to try out their new toy straight out of the box. So of course the boyfriend had to walk all over our apartment complex to see how far away from the station he would still be able to hear the television.

This is where the warm fuzzies of these headphones really paid off. In this casual close-mic setting I felt as if I was actually there & had to resist the urge several times to turn around & "see" the rest of the crowd. I can essentially use them anywhere in my house and some outside as well. Near the perimeter of the range you will get some cutting out, but step one foot closer and they're as clear as they are one foot from the base.

However, there are a few things that really frustrate me about these cans. The much mentioned volume buttons that are too small are just one. If I did this, I could not hear the TV. The Sennheiser RD180 has solved all our problems. Yes, but you get what you pay for. I absolutely love them. Both the 180's and 130's are open, so this is not explained by some type of closed environment in the 130's. It is something with the technology of the 180's that creates a slight delay in sound transmission.

This product is great; I connected it to my computer, went to my backyard and listened to my music while working in the garden. The set-up is very easy and the sound quality is amazing.

Customer service tells me that extra headsets are not available until around June. These headphones also come with rechargeable batteries. I purchased these to use with my TV. The sound is good but not as good as my pioneer SE-DHP800 infra-red head phones.

I found the set-up to be extremely easy. I have found the buttons to be fairly easy to get used to but adjusting the volume required a bit of thought at first.

Two of them were such a pain to use I threw them in the trash. The third one stopped working after about 6 months of use.
