The Sony 40EX500 Bravia KDL Has Excellent Image Processing Qualities

The Sony 40EX500 Bravia KDL Has High Definition Images

The Sony 40EX500 Bravia KDL is able to produce accurate color representations using its matte screen. There are plenty of controls over the picture settings as well as facilities for streaming video functionality. A blue background color disrupts the darker areas. In addition its 120HZ specifications are not as impressive as they might have been.

Rough areas on the screen belie the 1080p/24 specifications which have been quoted. A reduced level of control over the picture settings is not a competitive advantage. Nonetheless this gadget is able to produce adequate images. Its pricing structure within the LCD TV set is fair.

Looking at the principle enhancements.

This gadget faces problems on the LED market because it does not have a thin chassis. Likewise internet capabilities are restricted by the absence of an Ethernet channel. However the lighting on the screen is effective enough to replace the edge lit competitors. In terms of design aesthetics there is a two tone hue. The Bezel width has been measured at 2.2 inches while the panel depth is 4 inches.

Without a single plane on the screen, the users have to settle for a swivel facility. The Samsung LNC630 is the nearest challenger for this gadget in terms of design. It is possible to use a low profile due to the stand base. There are basic menus and a remote control to aid usage. A short cut menu can give you access to forty one keys but the television does not offer RF management consoles. There is a negative point in as much as the screen has no explanatory notes.

Reviewing the major features.

Disappointingly the users cannot access the Scene picture presets via the menu but instead have to rely on the dedicated remote key. There is no 3D compatibility or wireless HDMI connections. There are eight adjustable picture modes as well as independent memory units. The preset options include Sports, Cinema, Graphics and Auto.

There are other picture modes including Custom, Standard and Vivid. An Eco menu allows users to reduce their power consumption. An ambient light sensor has been added to the Sony 40EX500 Bravia KDL and it also has great power saving elements.
