As a Smart phone at mid-range, the Samsung Conquer, will definitely take its place in a more than normal category of phones. The phone is supported by WiMAX and is the first phone outside of the Sprint Smart phones to have this. As a Sprint smart phone it will have the Sprint platform and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, even though it is a mid-range phone. It is somewhere between the high-level and the normal phone range (hence, termed mid-range). With a very low price tag, it will be quite affordable to most people and this would include the children at school as well.
These Samsung Conquer Smart Phones will not be that expensive and many school children will be able to afford it. For many reasons, it is quite a remarkable phone. The main aim is to know what school children do with their phones. Some of these purposes are not good ones and many children have been abusing this means of communication. Placing an affordable phone like the Samsung Conquer Smart Phone on the market could increase the occurrences of abuse. It has a 3.2 megapixel main camera with a flash, and a 1.3 megapixel user-facing camera for video calling and this could add to the dilemma. Kids have been known to post bullying, fighting and even nude pictures of themselves and others on the Internet.
The Conquer 4G also includes Wi-Fi, which makes it easy to access the Internet and each other's phones. If there is no proper control from parents, it can become an enormous problem with children accessing pornography sites and also becoming pedophile risks. This faster phone will allow them to do much more by using the sprint technology. The negatives, however, can be outweighed by the positives.
The slider QWERTY keyboard will let the children be able to type so much faster and thus be able to do quite a bit. The phone could in many ways be utilized for doing homework. They would be able to do research on the Internet, but this has to be done under supervision. This mobile technology can be used by many schools in the application of lessons, the recording of videos, prepare speeches and do other practical assignments with the phone. It does help that the phone has a 1 GHz CPU and they can save all this on the phone with its expandable 32 Gigabyte memory.
For their purposes, the screen size (at 3.5 inch screen with HVGA resolution) is still good enough and they would not be so concerned about that as long as the phone works well. It would not be a bother to the younger ones, but the older ones might have a problem with it. They might complain about the cameras as well. Using the Wi-Fi option would allow them also to communicate with each other via e-mail or with the teacher (under strict supervision though). With the proper etiquette for these activities and supervision there should be no difficulty. As part of their education tools, the schools could also add these cell phones their list.
All of the phones will need to be protected though and you need to get some of the software help from the Samsung Conquer accessories. Protect the physical and electronic parts of your phone by placing it in a Samsung Conquer case. Protect the screen with a Samsung Conquer screen protector.
