Rodeo Western Wear For The Modern Cowboy/girl

By Carl Taylor

When the term Western and Rodeo is mentioned, what usually pops into people s minds is the image of the great outback, people on horseback and the occasional bull here and there that need to be kept under control. But it s the fashion that makes this kind of lifestyle unique as it is. But enjoying the fashion sense of rodeo western wear doesn t mean that a person needs to be a cowboy or cowgirl.

Furthermore, the lack of free space for people to roam around and herd large amounts of cattle has been a change that s a result of modernization but to compensate for that there is the rodeo. A place filled with challenges of its own that are the best adrenaline rush for the modern day westerner.

Moving further south, boots are great for not only protecting a person s feet but ensuring that the look they want to pull comes off because as the saying goes you can tell a lot about someone based on the shoes that they wear. The boots in question should be tough enough to withstand a desert climate but comfortable enough to be used daily without giving a person discomfort.

When it comes to the top of one s body, there a few options available for females. Either they can wear checkered shirts, rompers or t-shirts with graphics on them but it ll depend on what fashion choices meet the occasion. With men, simplicity is more of the best approach with a shirt being able to imply an all-purpose solution when it comes to dressing sense.

Denim is always a great choice to wear because the material is sturdy and can withstand a roughhousing. The cut of the jean as well also plays a role. Not to get technical but a skinny jean be any good at a rodeo so cowboy cut jeans are best as they accommodate for the footwear that is so often used in rodeos. For those who want something with a little more style, leather is also a great option. But one needs to bear in mind that it s not as durable as denim.

This style of dress isn t one designed for people who have flash and brass in mind but with that said. It doesn t mean that it is boring, when in fact it is far from it. Accessories can be used to make one feel comfortable but subtlety is the key. Scarfs, necklaces and bolo ties. Silver jewelry works best but it is important not to overdo it.

Although the style of clothing known as Rodeo Western wear can be traced back to the 1940 s and 50 s in America, the style still has a market today, with its own niche of people who enjoy it.

Regardless of what one wears, the intention is to have fun, whether they re with their friends or family or with a beer or two, It s all about having fun.
