If the birthday child has a favorite movie she's never seen on a big screen, it might be possible to rent it for the event. This isn't cheap though. The package can set you back as much as a thousand dollars.

If your birthday kid is an animal lover and has a pet, you could plan a party around this. Asking the guests to bring their special pets is a better idea when you have a small crowd and a big backyard. It may be necessary to set some boundaries about the kind of pets, and the temperament, on the invitations.

Most children love birthdays and parties. Instead of the usual bouncy houses, clowns, and face painting, you should try and come up with something unexpected and creative. You don't have to spend a fortune or go high tech to do it either.
