The builder may offer some basic designs that you can work with and they will suggest suitable options for your one off instrument. When you have finalized your design you are given a price for the guitar to be made and the construction can begin.

It is extremely important that your instrument is well maintained to ensure it works properly and lasts. Most builders can continue to look after your guitar and they will perform routine maintenance, repairs and set ups. Your instrument should be kept in its original case when you are not using it and it should be insured for its full replacement value.
