The Native American Gifts Tips

By Marjorie Richards

If you have been invited for an important occasion and you are wondering what gift to present, then you are on the right page. The Native American gifts are the perfect present you can give your loved ones in the occasions such as the Christmas celebrations, birthday parties, graduation parties, weddings, and any other occasion that involves the presentation of gifts. Regardless of the person or the occasion, there is always something that is bound to impress them.

There is no other gift that can be as adoring as the gifts that trace their roots to the Native American Indian tribes. It is the traditions of people from other parts of the world who visit the U. S to carry something back home with them as a present to those they left behind or as a decorative item in their house.

The Indian tribes have a rich history, tradition, and culture presented through several items. Their women, for instance, are known to adorn themselves with beaded headdresses and handmade jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces. As such, they present bracelets, beaded necklaces, and other jewelry items made from silver and turquoise.

The other area of great interest is the collections of different crafts that are unique and are presented in the tribal styles. These are commonly found as pottery and jewelry and are sold by different collectors who have a large collection of antiques and other artifacts to select from. Items such as traditional weapons including arrowheads, spears, and other weapons are sold at very reasonable prices as they are available in plenty due to the warring nature of these tribes.

If you are interested in the unique and charming gifts, you may consider the famous Kachina dolls. Having been introduced by the Hopi Indian tribe, this doll quickly gained popularity with most other Native Indian tribes and is still common to date. The dolls were mostly used to tell folk stories, and teach children but are now commonly used as decorative items.

Whether it is the animal sculptures from the Inuit tribe, beautifully woven blankets, rugs, and baskets from the Navajo tribe, or a beautiful piece of jewelry made of silver and turquoise from the Aztec tribe, all the tribal gifts come with the original style and spirit of the original ones. The authentic items which are still available were made of the natural materials from the surrounding environment.

The Hopi Indian tribe first invented the Kachina dolls that quickly spread to the rest of the Indian tribes. Today, they are still very common and are a popular gift item today. They are widely used as decorative items, for teaching children, and for telling the traditional stories.

Today, it is very easy to buy the Native American items as most vendors have moved to the internet. This gives you a wider pool to choose from and an opportunity to bargain. However, in order to avoid being deceived, be sure to get the certificate that shows that the item you bought is authentic and was made in the Native American Indian style.
