How to Do Home Theatre Setup

By Chloe Gib

Doing home theatre setup does not require a professional and one can do it on themselves. However if it is the first time that you are seeing this system it may be hard for you to do it. A complete system will have a DVD, a sub woofer and five speakers. This play different roles and how you set them to do this tasks will determine what you get in sound quality.

Firstly is where you intent to be the place it. The location should away from dust because it is usually destroy the system. It makes it produce some poor sound and also may cause it to break down completely. Then keep it at a place where it can get physical damage because it may break the parts given this is a very delicate electronic.

The various speakers are made for different positions. There are those which are made for the front and others for the back. The one which have a surround sound are usually made for front and those without are for the back position. The woofer should be placed near the couch where one is seated it is made for the bass sound and therefore it should be somewhere behind you.

There are two speakers that are marked front and are the ones which are made to be in the front. They are the ones which are kept near the television and sound like the television is the one producing the sound. This are usually made with a surround effect of sound and that is why they are preferred for the front.

There is another set that is made for the back. This are kept behind the ones listening but facing the front ones. Actually it is advised that they are place on equal distance apart as the front ones to have a good sound. It is also important that the place that they are kept that they are at the height of the listeners ears for a clear richer sound.

As long as your system has got the five small speakers and the sub woofer then there is a central speaker that should be in front of the listeners. It is not a very hard thing to do it only needs you to keep it in between the front ones and somewhere in front. The last speaker is the sub woofer and it should be in a strategic position away from damage but it can basically be kept anywhere in the room.

The wires are usually colored and so are the ports. You simply need to make a connection to all the speakers, the DVD and the television. If you check and ensure that all connections are made well then your home theatre setup is over. All you need to do now is plug in the power and turn on the system.
