How To Be A Better Gamer If You Use A Left-Handed Mouse

By Rosie Colon

A lot of people enjoy the social aspects of online gaming, not to mention they can be terrific fun. If they weren't fun there wouldn't be millions of people playing them. Of course, for some people being a good game player is harder than it is for others. It's understandable that newer gamers will basically not be very good. But that's fine as getting your sea legs does not have to be an impossible thing to do. If you're leftie, try to get a mouse for left-handed people because eventually you're going to need it. What we want to do now is discuss a few proven tips and tricks for more victorious online gaming.

It's a must to stay informed - no, not politics but rather the current events/news about your game of interest if you have any hope to be accepted into a MMORPG (Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Game) group. Doing so is a step above merely owning the equipment like the keyboard shortcuts (shorts) or the fabled left-handed mouse (if you're a... you know).

You're also going to need to do some extracurricular reading at the appropriate forums and other net locales pertinent to your game of choice. What's the purpose for doing so? Remember - you need to show your community that you're involved and committed; so to that end you have to be there, be knowledgeable and informed; plus there are game fixes/patches that come out as well as other info. And the only places you can become privy to this stuff are in the forums and other websites.

Do you have friends who enjoy playing online games? Ask some of them if they'd like to play with you. It can be scary trying to go into a MMORPG universe all alone. Even if you don't have any friends who are into gaming, you can meet other people through your chosen game. That is the fun of the massive online games like World of Warcraft. You can meet all kinds of new people, as there are vast numbers of people from all over playing. If you are a good player and get along well with others you could have a whole new group of friends in no time. The social element can make the world of online gaming even more fun.

Beyond all else, you should not forget to have fun with it. Games are supposed to provide us with a great means of entertainment at home. These games are not a substitute for true life. If you end up too wrapped up in a game it is important to realize you need a brain break, go do something else away from the game console, left handed mouses and keyboards for a while. Consider stepping away from the computer entirely or at the very least change games for a while. If you are not having fun anymore those you play with probably aren't either.

The whole thing with online games is they're supposed to be fun for everyone. Just keep things in their proper perspective so you don't get too emotionally involved and forget to have fun.

So avoid being a brat, if you are one - because people think that sucks and it's no fun. As always... if you're a lefty, there's so much more to online gaming than having that whiz-bang left-handed mouse. There's more to gaming than that left-handed mouse thing.
