Get Recognised in the Creative Arts by Being a Writer

By Alan Tudor

While your father may want you to become a teacher or a doctor, you may want to go for something unique. Well, how about a career in the artistic field - particularly writing. These careers not only pay you handsomely, but they also give you an opportunity to explore and use your creative talents.

When it comes to the creative arts field, most people think about becoming a painter, sculptor or musician. However, you could consider a more specialized career in some kind of copywriting which could offer you great money as well as a chance to use your creative talents.

Writers are used in computer game design for outlining the storyline of a game, working with the designers to ensure all text in graphics is spelled correctly, researching and writing dialogue and creating documentation.

Another exciting and lucrative option is photography. If you are good at camerawork and love taking pictures, you could explore this creative field. You may want to specialize in motorbike racing photographs and photograph events for newspapers and magazines - something that could take you around the world. If you can write the article as well, you will have an advantage over other people. Someone with an interest and taste in fashion could become a fashion photographer and writer.

If you are interested in music, writing songs is the obvious option for a copywriter. However, bands need liner notes, marketing material, press releases and more.

Another career that people don't usually know about is that of a product or industrial designer. An industrial designer designs objects and products, ranging from toys to household appliances to designing televisions and vehicles. Writers are required to create instruction manuals, presentations, packaging, advertising copy and more.

While some of these careers will require you to go for specialized training, not every career requires a particular educational qualification. So, all you need to do is explore a few unusual options and see what is the perfect career for you.
